From Walkthrough to Final Cleanup: What to Expect
A straightforward project starts with knowing what happens next. You work directly with me from the first conversation through the walkthrough, written estimate, scheduled work, final review, and cleanup.
First conversation and walkthrough
After you submit the project details, I reach out to get a brief understanding of what you want to change. For projects that need an in-person review, we schedule a walkthrough at the property.
At the walkthrough, we meet face to face, discuss your wants and needs, examine the existing conditions, and take the measurements needed to prepare the scope.
Written estimate and scheduling
I prepare a written estimate based on what we discussed and send it for review and approval. Once it is approved, we schedule the work and confirm the next steps.
When I say I am on the way, that means I am in the vehicle, your address is in the GPS, and I am driving to the project. The text is normally simple: “On my way, ETA 9:00 AM.”
Updates, final walkthrough, and cleanup
During the work, I keep you informed at the level of detail that is useful to you. Some homeowners want to understand each stage, while others mainly want to know that the project is moving forward. Either approach is fine.
At the end, I prefer to walk through the finished work together. If something needs attention, I want to address it. After the work is complete, I remove the protection, wipe affected surfaces, and vacuum the work area and the path out of the home.
