Questions Homeowners Ask Before Starting a Project

Clear answers about the work, the process, and what to expect in your home.

What types of remodel and repair projects do you take on?

Projects range from bathroom and kitchen remodels to flooring, tile, drywall, trim, painting, doors, fixture replacements, punch lists, maintenance, furniture assembly, and smaller repairs. If your project involves several areas, share the whole list so Montana can understand how the pieces work together.

What happens after I request an estimate?

Montana will contact you to get a brief understanding of the project and schedule a walkthrough. You will meet at the project location to discuss what you want, review the space, and take measurements. Montana then prepares a written estimate for your approval. Once approved, the work is scheduled and completed.

How far in advance should I contact you?

As much notice as you can provide is helpful, especially for a larger remodel or a project involving material selections. Scheduling depends on the size of the project and the current workload, so it is worth reaching out even if your timing is still flexible.

Will you personally be doing the work in my home?

Heylo Home is owner-operated, and Montana remains directly involved and accountable for the work. A qualified specialist may help when a project calls for one, but Montana stays engaged and makes sure the finished work meets his standards.

How do you protect my home during the project?

Protection is matched to the work and your home. Depending on the project, that may include plastic, Ram Board, drop cloths, or floor-to-ceiling dust containment. Final cleanup includes wiping affected surfaces and vacuuming the work area and path out of the home.

Who purchases the materials and finished fixtures?

Heylo Home generally supplies quantity-critical construction materials such as flooring, tile, setting materials, sheet goods, lumber, and shower systems. You usually select personal finish fixtures such as vanities, faucets, lighting, mirrors, and hardware, with guidance available whenever you want it.

What happens if hidden damage or another unexpected issue is discovered?

Montana will show you what was found, explain how it affects the project, and talk through the available options. If the scope or price needs to change, you will receive the details in writing for approval and signature before that additional work moves forward.

Are you insured, and is the work covered by a warranty?

Yes. Heylo Home is insured, and a certificate of insurance is available upon request. Labor performed by Heylo Home is covered by a one-year workmanship warranty, subject to the complete terms and exclusions in your contract.

Ready to Request an Estimate?

Send a short description of the project, your first and last name, phone number, optional email, and service address. Montana will review it and follow up with the next steps.
